Home Safety Modifications are thoughtful upgrades designed to reduce risks and make a home safer and more accessible. These might include installing grab bars, adding ramps, widening doorways, or updating bathrooms for easier use. Both services improve comfort and function, but safety modifications are are aimed at supporting independence and preventing accidents in the home.

Our specialty is helping aging adults remain safe and independent at home, but our services are available to homeowners across the KC metro area. We welcome a variety of projects, and while we're happy to assist with general needs, our priority will always be the health, safety, and well-being of our clients.

Yes! We understand that the transition home after a fall, surgery, or hospital stay can be stressful for both you and your loved ones. We provide quick-response support for time-sensitive modifications, ensuring that any safety upgrades are in place before or at the time of discharge. We can also assist with pre-op planning, walking through your home in advance to identify potential challenges and make sure your space is ready before you even return. Whether it's a short-term need during healing or long-term solutions for ongoing safety, we work with you and your family to create a supportive home environment that helps you recover with confidence and comfort.

Every home and every person is different. We start by listening to your concerns, learning about your daily routines or limitations, and walking through your space together. From there we recommend only the modifications that will make the biggest impact on your safety, comfort, independence, and budget. We also provide thorough home safety and/or security assessments to provide a comprehensive view of the home and property.

We provide flexibility for each client to decide this for themselves. Some clients prefer to purchase the items they want installed based on their tastes in quality, finish, etc., while others want us to handle everything from sourcing to the installation. For handyman services and home safety modifications, we can provide quality materials and add them to your invoice with receipts. For monthly service plan visits, we typically will use client-provided household supplies unless other arrangements are made. Our goal is to keep the process simple and convenient for you.

Stacy is an LPN & Certified Senior Home Safety Specialist with Age Safe America, and Nick is a skilled tradesman and Certified Security Assessment Specialist. Both of our names are registered with the Family Care Safety Registry, and we have completed background checks with the MO State Police.
